Access Card Business FAQ’s

The Access Card is a unique discount shopping program of Access Unbound, a 501(c)(3) organization in Vail, Colorado serving people of all ages with disabilities. Individuals may purchase an Access Card for $55, which entitles the cardholder to a 20% discount on regularly priced merchandise at participating stores, salons, attractions, and restaurants for the 15-day shopping period.
Access Card 2023 begins Saturday, September 16 and ends Saturday, September 30. A shopper may use the card as often as s/he wishes throughout the 15-day period.
There is no fee to participate! Access Card participating retailers agree to sell digital cards for $55 each.
No, only the $55 cost of the card. Our participating retailers and restaurants absorb the 20% discount.
Digital Access Card sales are processed via our secure website at so there is no reconciliation required by the business. Customers can enter your business name when buying a digital card.
Shoppers are entitled to a 20% discount ONLY during the 15-day shopping period from September 16-30. Businesses may offer special pricing or promotions instead of the Access Card 20% discount. All special offers, exclusions, and restrictions are available to each card buyer; they are listed Merchandise cannot be discounted in advance or held for purchase before September 16. Card is not valid with any other offer. Sale merchandise, special orders, sales tax, delivery, and layaway payments are not eligible for discount. Regular return policies apply. For restaurants, discount applies to meals for a maximum of two (2) guests per card bearer unless otherwise noted The discount does NOT apply to gratuity or sales tax.
We are allowing all business who can support online shopping with a discount code to be promoted with this feature. When completing your registration, you may choose to offer a promo/discount code in the E-Commerce Section of the contract so Access Card buyers can use the code online to receive the 20% card discount. Shoppers will be able to unlock the discount codes online after making their Access Card purchase.
Funds raised from the 2023 Access Card program will benefit people with disabilities and disabling conditions served by Access Unbound.

No. Customers may only redeem the card from September 16-30 or during a pre-sale event at the discretion of each individual store. Access Card sharing is strictly prohibited. The paper Access Cards are only valid when used and signed by the person who purchased the card. The digital Access Card will appear on the shopper’s phone with their name and a card number appearing under the Access Card logo. We suggest all participating businesses ask to see a photo ID to validate the use of the card. Remember this is a fundraiser for Access Unbound. Please encourage shoppers to purchase their own card.

In early fall, you can download logos and Access Card graphics to use for marketing the program to new and existing customers. We make it easy to post on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, and send emails to your customers!
